Powerful Email Forward Story That Makes One Think About Others

Email This To Friends & Family Email This To Friends & Family

This is one Powerful Email Forward Story That Makes One Think About Others! Please take a few minutes to read and a few more to ponder it. How many situations we may have missed like this trying to catch the flight while somebody else suffers for our mistakes and neglect!

This is really powerful and makes one think!!!!

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in  Chicago  . They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night’s dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding the plane…  ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned..

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.

He was glad he did.

The 16 year old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, ‘Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?’ She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, ‘I hope we didn’t spoil your day too badly.’

Then the he walked away, to catch his late flight.

The End.

That’s the end of the story. The saleman didn’t receive a reward for his act then and there. But he was inconvenienced and delayed and maybe had to spend extra money to catch the missed plane. But he probably made a world of difference to that blind girl. That we will never know.

Too many Muslims today are selfish and don’t care to think about others. If we claim to follow the last prophet of Allah we should live, walk and act as He would.  Lets make it a point to be considerate and avoid hurting others be helpful to others in our short journey in this life on earth. Ameen.

Please share this email with others… Sometimes we just take things for granted, when we really need to be sharing what we know….Thanks

The Dumbest Kid In The World

Email This To Friends & Family Email This To Friends & Family

A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his Customer, “This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it to you.”

The barber puts a five rupee coin in one hand and two one rupee coins(1+1=2) in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, “Which do you want, son?”

The boy takes the two one rupee coins and leaves. “What did I tell you?” said the barber. “That kid never learns!”

Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store. “Hey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take two one rupee coins instead of five rupee coin?”

The boy licked his cone and replied, “Because THE DAY I TAKE THE FIVE RUPEE COIN, THE GAME IS OVER

Moral: When you think the other person is dumb, you are making a fool of yourself.

Margarine 1 Molecule Away From Being PLASTIC: Margarine Not Fit To Eat!

Email This To Friends & Family Email This To Friends & Family

Dangerous Margarine – What Doctors Don’t Tell You
I got this following email forward telling about how margarine was first made and some more very disturbing facts including that margarine is only one molecule away from being plastic. You can test this claim of it being plastic by following the simple test mentioned in this email.

We can only hope authorities look into this and take proper steps for the benefit of the people. Forward this email Convey this message to your friends and family. Atleast same them from the harmful aspects and side effects….

Butter or Margarine. . . . .?

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavoring’s.

DO YOU KNOW.. the difference between margarine and butter? >Read on to the end…gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!

Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine..

Very high in trains fatty acids.
Triple risk of coronary heart disease .
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)
Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.

Lowers quality of breast milk.

Decreases immune response.

Decreases insulin response.

And here’s the most disturbing fact…. HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC..

This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

You can try this test yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

1) No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

2) it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny micro organisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic.

Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends…..(If you want to ‘butter them up’)!

However back to the subject, in rich countries food prices are not an issue so normal people can buy butter if margarine is harmful. But in poor countries butter is normally much expensive than margarine and normal people who are mostly people who live a hand to mouth existence in countries like India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka use only margarine. For them butter is a luxury with many never having tasted butter! I remember another email forward like this about dangerous paracetamol tablet side effects. We shouldn’t forget that this can be dirty marketing ploy by butter manufactures to discredit margarine competition and increase butter sales for their company. Such dirty games have happened before. However if what this email says about margarine is true then what is situation of millions and millions for people in India and other countries? What steps will the World Heath Organisation or WHO and other global food consumer and food safety organizations take? Are they even aware of this or is this brushed under the carpet for dollars from multi-national food companies? Whatever the reason it is their responsibility to check and nullify the fears of the consumers or to ban margarine.

Amazing European Trailer Truck Picture Painters

Email This To Friends & Family Email This To Friends & Family

From Jo & Jim – EUROPEAN TRUCK PAINTERS!

Those artists are at it again and aren’t they brilliant?

Here are 7 pictures of European trailer trucks whose trailers are decorated to look like the sides are missing and the products they are hauling are painted on the sides and back.

The first is of a truck trailer painted like a canvas tote bag.

The second is of painted Pepsi truck. Pepsi cases and they are all stacked on the ceiling of the trailer, and the bottom of the trailer is empty.

The third is of another truck with the windshield facing the back, a driver painted in the driver’s seat looking back over his shoulder to appear like he is driving backwards. (Now this one is just plain scary, even when the German reads ‘On the wrong way?’).

The fourth trailer truck picture one is of an aquarium with fish swimming in it.

The fifth trailer truck is of a bookshelf with books lined up in it and a post-it-note with an advertisement on it, probably a truck belonging to a company that sells the books.

The last one is for a Pringles-Hot & Spicy trailer truck. The ‘inside’ of the trailer has the appearance of having been through a fire.

The Next Cheif Executive Officer (CEO)

Email This To Friends & Family Email This To Friends & Family

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.

He said, ‘It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. ‘The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. ‘I am going to give each one of you a SEED today – one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO.’

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.

By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn’t have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by — still nothing in Jim’s pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn’t say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil – He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.

Jim told his wife that he wasn’t going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful — in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.

Jim just tried to hide in the back. ‘My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown,’ said the CEO. ‘Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!’

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, ‘The CEO knows I’m a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!’

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed – Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, ‘Behold your next Chief Executive Officer!

His name is Jim!’ Jim couldn’t believe it. Jim couldn’t even grow his seed.

‘How could he be the new CEO?’ the others said.

Then the CEO said, ‘One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead – it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!’

    • If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
    • If you plant goodness, you will reap friends
    • If you plant humility, you will reap greatness
    • If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
    • If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective
    • If you plant hard work, you will reap success
    • If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation

So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Buying A Parrot

Email This To Friends & Family Email This To Friends & Family

A man wanted to buy his son a parrot as a birthday present..

The next day he went to the pet shop and saw three identical parrots in a cage.

He asked the clerk, “how much for the parrot on the right?

The owner said it was Rs. 2500.

“Rs. 2500.”, the man said. “Well what does he do?

“He knows how to use all of the functions of Microsoft Office 2000, responds the clerk.

“He can do all of your spreadsheets and type all of your letters.”

The man then asked what the second parrot cost.

The clerk replied, Rs. 5000, but he not only knows Office 2000, but is an expert computer programmer.

Finally, the man inquired about the cost of the last parrot.

The clerk replied, “Rs. 10,000.”

Curious as to how a bird can cost Rs. 10,000, the man asked what this bird’s specialty was.

The clerk replies, “Well to be honest I haven’t seen him do anything.

But the other two call him *”BOSS”!!

Mobile Phone Etiquette Tips

Our Company HR manager sent this email about Mobile Phone Etiquette…

Mobile Phone Etiquette

The Mobile Phone has become an absolute essential in the present day
context. But how many of you know how to use the mobile phone without
causing a nuisance to the others?

1. The ring tone and the volume- The ring tone should be a decent one to
suit the environment that you are in and the volume should be at a minimal.
Some of you love to have a personalized ring tone, such as songs, music and
other sounds. However such ring tones should not be a one which annoys and
irritates other people around you. If you are a professional, working in an
office/company, ensure that your ring tone is suitable to your work place
and your position.

2. How to answer- If you are, at an official meeting/interview, at the
cinema, theatre, attending a conference/workshop/seminar keep your mobile
phone on silence/vibrate mode or switch it off completely. Do not disturb
the others by taking calls or answering calls during such time. If you are
inside a lift/elevator, inside a bus/train or with strangers in a public
place or inside a restaurant or a shopping mall, make your conversations
very short and speak in a soft manner so as not to let the others listen to
your entire conversation. While you may believe it is good for your image
for the others to listen to your conversation and to let them know as to who
you are talking with, people are not interested in listening to your private
conversations and it is a nuisance to them.

3. Conversations should not disturb the others- In any manner your
private conversations should be done in private. There is no need for the
others to be a part of your private conversations with your loved ones.
